Recycling can be confusing. Our hope is that the information on this page can help you navigate what you can recycle at home, what the County will accept during their Household Hazardous Waste events and if you can't wait to get items out of your home, where else you can take items.
Lower Gwynedd has a single use trash contract with Republic Services.
Make sure and check out their Recycling Simplified website. This site has it all from Recycling Basics, Expert Tips and Resources.
Remember not to put your recycables in plastic bags. Plastic Bags and Plastic Film can be dropped off in bins located at the entrance of Giant Food Store.
Montgomery County offers a Household Hazardous Waste Collections throughout the year across the county.

The Summer of 2025, the Township will be suspending the batery collection. The service provider we have used is in the process of making changes to their shipping policy at this time is not able to provide a shipping options. Until a new service provider is found our program is being suspended.
We will still be holding our Techno Trash events. However, we will not be accpeting batteries.
Where can you drop off your batteries?
Batteries Plus will recycle batteries, lighting and small electronics. A complete list is available on their website along with store locations.
Staples also offeres a recyling program for rechargeable batteries and single use batteries, in addition to other items.
