Who We Are
The Lower Gwynedd Township Human Relationship Commission (HRC) was launched in December 2022. The HRC is a 5-member commission established by the 2022 adoption of the Anti-Discrimination Ordinance which prohibits discrimination in housing, commercial property, employment and public accommodations, outlines procedures for filing a claim and provides definitions and penalties. The HRC shall have jurisdiction over unlawful discriminatory acts committed within the Township, and will not only serve to uphold rights, but to educate the community. The HRC cooperates with and assists other organizations, public or private, to improve relationships among citizens of the Township. We act as a referral group related to complaints of alleged discrimination within the Township, wherever possible, and shall refer the complainants to appropriate social, civic or government agencies for further action.
