Finance Director

Lower Gwynedd Township (Pop. 11,405), a Township of the Second Class in Montgomery County, PA is seeking resumes for the position of Finance Director. The Finance Director is responsible for the management of a $26M budget ($8M general fund) and all finance functions related to it, including budget preparation, monthly financial reports, audits, pension funds, payroll for 50 employees, bank reconciliations, and invoices, in addition to supervising finance department staff of two, consultants, and vendors as needed. The Finance Director will also keep the Township Manager updated on the financial condition of the Township and from time to time make budget and/or financial presentations to the Board of Supervisors at public meetings.   

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of municipal fiscal procedures and policies, financial accounting software, supervisory experience in a municipal environment, and will operate within the accepted governmental accounting principles. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, public or business administration or other related field is required. Master’s degree or CPA designation is preferred. The Salary range for this position is $75K-$90 dependent on qualifications.
